Oh, tell me what you want, what you really, really want …

dandy3In my 200th post – I’m shaking things up a bit and making this post all about you.

This blog is about a lot of things.  The common thread is usually some kind of either wry or raw perspective that I have gained from my journey through this thing called life.

I have almost 600 followers now and this blog has been viewed by people in 91 countries — all of which blows my mind.  And makes me very grateful.

dandy4Which is why I want to know…

What do you like to read most here?  What about this blog do you most feel a connection with?

Do you like my posts that are about gratitude (like my first 100 when this blog started)?

Or ones that are sarcastic or self deprecating? Or about parenting or being part of the sandwich generation?

Or ones that are filled with what is sometimes pretty raw emotion?

Short posts or long ones?  Posts where I participate in a Worpress challenge or writing prompt exercise?

Or simply posts with nice pictures or paintings (no judgement here…)?

You tell me.

And thank you for being part of this blog!

  1. I’m with Lame. I like the narky stuff – not too long, but I also enjoy the honest ones. You can’t please everybody and you wouldn’t have grown such a large following if you hadn’t been doing something right.

My numbers are 104 posts and about 75 followers, so I should be taking advice from you 🙂

  2. I personally like to read posts that are written spontaneously. So nothing in particular, just what you feel you’re passionate about 🙂
    Congrats by the way 😉

  3. I’m all about honesty, so I appreciate that. I don’t care so much about length, but I’m pretty verbose, myself, so I know I’m not “normal” in that respect. 🙂

  4. Congrats on the statistics! Photos, raw emotions and short posts get my attention. I think many blog authors make posts too long, just one guy’s opinion of course. 😉

  5. Just continue to write about what it’s like to be you in the place, time and circumstances you find yourself in, and beyond that, don’t limit yourself.

  6. You’re a good storyteller. You have a quick wit, a good heart, and you notice the subtle things in life that so many people miss. And I enjoy the honesty. I just wish I could have tuned in earlier, but I just got into this blog thing, so I’m still feeling my way around. I wouldn’t change a thing.

  7. I’m a fan but not a picky consumer. I’ll read long or short. I’ll look at a painting or laugh at your Houdini dog. I like the serendipity of whatever is on your mind.

  8. I’m just grateful that this post was not about the Spice Girls. How I loathed them. My preference will always be in the direction of snarky and short(ish), but this is your site, you’re an excellent writer, your following is continuing to grow so I suggest that you go with the cliche that states: if it’s not broke don’t fix it. Keep blogging about what sings to you.
